Biography

Chris Huskey is a 17 year-old independent singer/songwriter from Washington , D.C. , living in Taipei , Taiwan . His songs cover everything from the war in Iraq and girls to...well, sex. His music could be compared to music from John Mayer or Dashboard, and he has been said to sound like a younger Bright Eyes, but he definitely has a style all his own. He recently released his debut album, Soldiers, Girls, and Nightmares, and is currently touring around Taiwan . A U.S. tour is also a possibility in upcoming months.

Growing up in Washington , D.C. , and Taipei , Taiwan , Chris became involved in music at an early age. His first band, the D.C.-based Smash Adams, released its first album, With the Diggidy-How , when its members were only 13. Chris was the singer/guitarist frontman of the band and composed much of the music on the album. After moving to Taipei , Chris became interested in jazz and jazz/rock fusion, and formed an instrumental fusion band that became known around the city. At 15, he started to write solo singer-songwriter style songs and perform around Taipei . This eventually developed into his debut album, Soldiers, Girls, and Nightmares . The album, released on December 20 th , 2007 , is a compilation of pop/rock and acoustic songs that Chris has written over the past year. Chris is currently promoting his new album by touring around Taiwan and on the internet, and he plans to spread his music to the U.S. with a 2008 summer tour.
